I am selling my 152. I haven't advertised it much yet and I'm not in a rush to sell it. It is at N87 airport in New jersey. It has had recent magneto overhauls, new alternator, new vacuum pump. The paint is somewhat rough, but the plane is in excellent condition. I could not figure out how to place a classified.

Here is the info:

1978 Cessna 152, 6500TT, 1100 SMOH (lycoming factory overhaul), KMA-20 audio panel, KX-155 with glideslope, Narco NAV-121, Garmin 250XL GPS/COM, recent IFR transponder/static check, pitot heat - $27000 - Chris 6099472803

Good luck, Chris. That really looks like a fair price!

Does anyone have a guess what this plane is worth? It could probably use a paint job, but is in good mechanical shape. I got an offer for $23000, but I only wanted to go down to $25k at the least. However, I don't want to be off base with my pricing either and never sell it.

Chris,
There was a 1978 152 tied down next to me that was for sale with a $26000 asking price. (I could be wrong on the price but Mark Silverman will know for sure)

It sat there for a loooooong time before a flight school in Fl. bought it.

How long is $2k worth to you ?

Assuming your interior and paint are good, I would have a hard time accepting less than $24k. I’ll bet Vref will put your plane at ~$29k. Anyone that has bought avionics knows that a good set of radios for IFR aren’t cheap. I see 152’s with higher time engines, airframes and a lot less radios go for >$23k.
