At this price, as a mechanic, I'd be interested despite the detrators!

Current bid, $10,100. [cgi.ebay.com]

I predict it will sell for between $15K and $17K? confused

Looks like they hauled an engine in the back.

And it looks like someone sandblasted the upper wing surfaces!

Could be!

I do have a Lycoming O-320 engine (conical mount type) that I will sell for an additional $2500. The data plate is intact. Approx 200 SMOH. This was going to be STC'd on the 150 but my plans changed.

Sounds like the logs might be missing on the engine! $12,200 bid on the plane, just hours to go! Tempting (I could get the money) but I need another project like I need .....

If they did, they weren't very smart. A Lycoming O-235 weighs 250 lbs; other engines probably weigh about the same. Far exceeds the limit for the cargo area. Plus, getting an engine back there would be a real bear. I loaded an O-235 into the back of a minivan and it was a tight fit.

Looks like the found a sucker, I mean buyer. It went for $14,625.00.

Carl, you're probably right, you don't need another hole in your wallet over this one.

Only $375 less than the minimum I predicted! smile

I think it might work out if a mechanic bought it, but not for anybody else! Still, he's gonna have some headaches! wink
