Well, I have spent lots of time looking in the search, on the web, and the airmap 2000C would be a good buy, but I rally don't need the color screen (would be nice, but not required) since I always have the sectional opened and know the terrain around me.
So I have been looking at the Airmap 1000 and like the couple added features the 500 doesn't have. What about the two, Garmin 196 and Airmap 1000, I like the Lowrance due to the data base isn't loaded in the unit and I can have the Americas and Atlantic data base on the same MMC card, If I remember right Garmin isn't like that. but would like opinions on both, what about size? have any of you used both in the 150/152? The reason I need the Atlantic is I will be flying in England for the next 2.5 years before coming back to the states to fly. I will be looking to order end of next week.
