Just got a renewal quote from AOPA/AIG for my '80 152. The premium went from $547 to $572. My flying experience went up, the plane's value went down, yet the premium was increased. I must be paying for all those planes destroyed by Florida hurricanes.
Didn't the hull value remain the same?
In the case of my 172, I thought the agreed upon value was too low and didn't reflect it's actual replacement cost.
We upped the hull value (and hence the premium).
The AOPA/AIG folks have been very nice to me on the phone.
Over the years, they've explained the various options
and did "what if" type games for me without a complaint.
