The gear fairings are split on the underside for easier installation, without removing the gear legs. The edges of the split are held together by a backing plate, or "nutplate", that you can either fabricate, or order new from Ce$$na (those ARE dollar signs)!

First, I would avoid Gator Aero if you need documentation on your parts for ENAC authorities. Gator Aero has never advertised their parts as certified by anyone (in fact, they are not).

Second, $79.95 is too good a price on a complete set of Aerobat strut fairings. $400 plus would be more like it. I wonder if Gator Aero is aware that there is a difference between regular 150/152's and Aerobats. Again, they aren't certified, and there is the question of quality! I don't know of anyone who has bought fairings from him.

Here is a short list of suppliers that you will find useful either now or in the future.

Texas Aeroplastics. [buyplaneparts.com] Interior and exterior plastic parts and fiberglass replacements.

Stene Aviation. [steneaviation.com] Click on "Produts". They are the source of many of the fiberglass parts sold by Texas Aeroplastics and others.
