Rudolph,
Reading your post of 1/26/06 6:03 PM made me very sad, very sad indeed. I took the time to go back and reread the post leading up to that post and see a very familiar pattern. .

I would assume that you wrote the venomous epistle to the seller to vent your disappointment and anger because the airplane in question was not what you expected and you are therefore are unable to realize your desire to own it. It is obvious that you wished to make the seller feel bad, perhaps as bad as you felt when you wrote it. I strongly suspect that you succeeded. I also suspect that you also succeeded in substantially lowering the seller?s opinion of you as a person. Who wins here?

You have every right to have a pre-purchase inspection done. I would like to know why you hired a mechanic to do the inspection. You seem to feel that you are qualified to give both legal, mechanical and aeronautical advice to the owner. If you are so highly qualified why didn?t you do the inspection yourself?

You have every right to refuse to purchase the airplane based upon that inspection.

You even have the right to write a nasty letter of refusal. How about putting yourself in the seller?s position, how would you like to get the letter that you sent? Not much I would wager. A simple ?No thank you. Would you like a copy of my mechanic?s squawk list?? would have terminated the transaction just as effectively and without ranker.

I assume that you posted your letter to the seller on the forum to obtain validation, because deep down you probably know that it was the wrong to thing to do. You are not getting much validation here.

I have an airplane for sale. Please DO NOT call me about buying it. You are a first time buyer and because of pervious experience with newbies refuse to deal with them. I have in point of fact I have refused to enter into a sales agreement with two strong potential buyers because this is their first aircraft purchase.

Have you considered the possibility that you may not be emotionally ready to OWN an airplane? Think about it, think about it really hard.
