What authorization did you use to replace your OEM spinner with a skull cap? I’ve heard rumors that it can be done, but don’t see it in the parts manual or the TCDS. Would appreciate any info you might have.
The Skull Cap is also an OEM spinner. It was standard equipment on the Cessna 150 from serial number 1 thru the "K" model.
The Parts Manual for your airplane shows 3 spinners.
- The top one (Skull Cap) is for serial numbers 17001 and on
- The middle one is for serial numbers 17001 thru 15059949 (halfway thru the "C" model)
- The bottom one is for serial numbers 1509950 and on (in this manual "on" is thru the 150J)
