and it's not 8 continuous hours, it's three 2 1/2 hour legs. Plus you get to see a lot of the country, and meet some really nice people, and there's a lunch stop somewhere in there.
And if you do it, or some of it, in a caravan it's a whole lot of fun.
This is how I'm planning to it provided weather is good and I get to fly. It's only going to be about 4 1/2 hours for me total flying time, so I'm planning to leave around 9 am, land to fuel the plane and myself, then fly the second leg. Will be my longest cross-country yet but I'm excited just to get in the air and enjoy the scenery.
