Good news! On the advice of Lyle, I pulled the radio out today in order to swap the RT328T and the MX300. Before I pulled the MX I took a look at the 328T pins on the back. Turns out there was a bent pin. I straightened out the pin and re-installed the radio. Lo and behold the quick com check with my handheld worked great. I couldn't check NAV because I was in the hangar and there was no way to pick up the VOR. I will do a proper check on both COM and NAV (hopefully) tomorrow. The RT328T is not a long term solution for me but it looks like I at least have dual COM's again. Thanks everybody for the suggestions.
