So here is the situation with me and this aircraft. I am currently going through a divorce and negotiating to keep my plane.I really dont want to sell it. It was a dream come true to own this for the past five and a half years. Lots of fun with compliments at every place I stopped! It has been a pleasure with many hours of trouble free operation which I attribute to the quality of the plane and the 200% commitment to maintenance which is impeccable. Everything works and even minor issues are addressed immediately. I change the oil and filter every 25 hours. The filter is cut open and inspected and an oil analysis is sent to the lab. The data is then graphed and analized. Spark plugs are also cleaned, gapped and rotated every 25 hours. A complete borescope inspection of each cylinder is also performed every 25 hours along with downloading and analyzing the data from the engine monitor ( $4500 installed . Annual inspection are nothing more than an inspection and average $450 which is just labor since there is nothing to fix. All AD'S and certifications are up to date. I typically spend about one hour or so after every flight cleaning every inch of the aircraft including the belly! My mantra is if I dont have time to clean it then I dont have time to fly it. I take quite a bit of ribbing from the airport locals about this who swear I am going to rub the paint right off it! I take a lot of pride in ownership of her. The plane if sold comes with some extras like Kennon cowl cover, engine heater and some spare parts.I should know in about a month if I will be able to keep this plane. In the meantime I am reviewing offers so that if I need to sell it I am in a better position at that time.
Thanks,
Dom
