I have the Horton STOL kit on my 150M. They were on the plane when I bought it. They do seem to improve stability at the low end. You can not get the plane to stall. Nice slow landing speed are easy on the gear.
However, I don't think the improvement is worth the cost. I would not pay to install them. But they are on the plane so I certainly am not going to pay to take them off.
Look around at Clinton. How many 150/152s do you see with VG or STOL kits? I think I have seem one other 150 with a Horton STOL kit.
Maybe someone could setup a survey: Do you have VG or STOL on your plane?
