When I first saw the airplane I bought, I felt like I was preflighting it as I looked it over instead of using a discriminating eye that I should have. I hired a co-worker who is an IA to pre-buy insp the plane as it was being annualed and told him that I want him to find some reasons not to buy it. Being we both work for airlines flying to Wisconsin and back in the same day was cheap and easy.
That 1st time seeing 52U, on my way home I scored a 1st class seat on 1 of our DC9s, it was a great day filled with classic airplanes.
