50$ for used is ok but what are you getting for that? These things were not designed to last 40 or 50 years. If the metal is ok and it inst too pitted then thats a great deal. I managed to find one really good original latch a few years back and one that wasnt so ugly in a junkyard. If i have to replace them now its going to be the Niagara Airparts one. I dont think you can find these things anymore if at all in decent used condition.
