Bruce, those won't work on the droop wingtips. Those are made to modify "surface mount" teardrop nav lights. There are two styles of droop wingtip nav lights. The early style used a short nav light cover that isn't long enough to mount strobes inside. The later version came with or without strobes. The covers are hard to find at a reasonable price with or without the strobe cutout, but the ones without are much less expensive and can be modified. I found mine on eBay. Make sure the rectangular tab isn't missing on the front (see Hung's pic)... it helps hold the nav light lens in place.
