If it wasn't so far away (about a 8 hour roundtrip drive, as I recall) I would already have looked at it (my Banker has deep pockets). The aux tank can be removed (I would). I wouldn't consider it unless the STC allows 1760 gross (what is the Texas Ranger ..... the tank?), and unless the logs and p/w is all there (unknown)! No bad history in the database, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have some. The engine is high time, but had a recent top, and compressions are good. It's flyable until I have the overhaul kit ready. The paint would be important to me. I don't mind shooting a few stripes, but not the whole bird (not another one). The panel is not a plus, and could stand some upgrade.

I'm sure it hasn't sold because of the drab paint, poor panel, and high time engine. $14,500 is about right for this bird, I think, but I'd offer a little less since it's been on the market so long.

I'm not interested in converting it to tailwheel (sorry, I only like the fastback tailwheel 150's.) Yes, it's interesting, for someone in my position, but I need to finish what I've got going on now. Once my birds are flying, there'll be other opportunities!

Jeff, if you're interested, I have a friend who might be pursuaded to fly me to Stuart for a look see.

His name rhymes with yours!
