I've had too many people try to steer me away from buying a 150/152, but it fits my mission profile and most importantly won't break the bank!
The 150/152 doesn't get a lot a respect in the aviation world, but I haven't found much I can't do with mine. Most people seem to think they are slow planes, but even when flying with mixed types of airplanes, most of the time I arrive within ten minutes of the first plane. If I am smart with my ground ops, I can beat most other planes over an hour or so flight.
It is about as inexpensive of flying as you can get, and they are easy to repair and well understood. Parts are available as are people to work on them.
I guess what I am saying is, welcome to the club!
