Then there's the real cost of this airplane - the cottage on the lake in the nort'woods so you can use the floats and skis.
I don't have that kind of money, so I periodically go to Northwoods Aviation in Cadillac, Michigan where they rent a Super Cub and J-3 on skis in the winter, floats in the summer and wheels in between. I don't even want to think what it would cost to buy one with the skis and floats. (Oh, yeah, and there's a motel on the shore with a nice beach and they let you operate float planes from their dock or beach - so you don't have to buy the vacation cottage.)
