Mr Bowers told me the mirror is to ensure wheel chalks and tow bar are clear before startup.
Hmmm - I dunno about you, but....You'd kinda think....
1. If you had in your "check list" that prior to starting the engine, you'd look in the mirror to check for chocks and towbar... that,
2. You'd have in your checklist, prior to getting in the plane, to remove the chocks and towbar in the first place???????
