I am hoping that this topic will help club members, who have come to the point that they need or want to sell their airplane.

We all debate over price and value of one aircraft vs another, and each person has valid points, but this is not where I am going with this.

What I would like to know, is if you were going to sell your airplane, what would you do to...

1. Maximize the price you will actually sell it for. For example, does listing it on Barnstormers bring a higher return than say Trade-A-Plane?

2. Decrease the time it takes for you to sell it? I know that lowering the price will do that, but what other options are there?

3. How do you keep from getting inquiries that are a waste of your time?

4. What about using a broker?

What I am looking for is usable and usefull tips on how a member could sell his or her airplane for the most money, in the least amount of time, and with as little hassle as possible. Basically, what are some ideas, resources, avenues, or whatever, that a member could take to help make selling their plane easier

I understand the principle of Quality vs Price vs Time, and hope this topic doesn't fixate on that discussion (although it is important to realize when selling or buying). What I do hope, is that people will be able to use this discussion as a resource if the time ever comes that they need to sell.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
