Not to beat a topic or product to death here but my A&P suggested installing the out side air temp probe thru the inspection plate just under the wing closet to the pilot side. It accomplishes several things A) makes it accessable if there is a problem B) keeps the probe out of direct sunlight for a more accuarte reading C) if you want to take it out some day all you need is to replace the inspection cover and there are no holes in the wing. Anyway just some food for thought.
