There are 150s and 152s running around with more than 10,000 hours. It depends on the condition of the bird.

If the owner is asking top dollar for a run out engine and a corrosion riddled airframe, then run away from it! If it has a mid or low time engine, sound skin and spars, then it may be worth a more detailed look.

Strike up a good relationship with a reputable mechanic. Have him do the pre-buy.
