A friend near Cleveland pointed me to a 1967 150G with about 1620 TT and 620 SMOH. The owner (who knows my friend very well) said he bought the airplane in 1970 and has owned it since, with the same mechanic maintaining the airplane all these years (including the overhaul). It was stripped and repainted about 10 years ago and has newer VFR avionics. The 150 had three previous owners from 1967 - 1970 (a flight school which put on the first 500 hours, then two FBO's). The reason for the sale is that the owner is now past 80 and fears he cannot pass the next medical (and will now move into the sport pilot category). The asking price seems high at $29,000.

I know I would rather have an aerobat, but I have not had much luck on this. So I wonder if this 150G would be a good possiblity?
