I can be a little more lenient when it's a display of national pride, rather than a political or fashion statement. I wouldn't "wear" the flag as a shirt or hat or use it as a tablecloth or towel or otherwise desecrate it (yes, I've seen that and more). I see the logo more as a transparency that I'm looking through to see the undesecrated flag, or maybe as a reflection of the flag in a metalic logo. I don't see the logo as supposedly made from the flag itself.
I take much more offense at state and local (and sometimes FEDERAL) agencies whose personnel wear the flag backwards on their uniforms (blue field towards their rear, instead of towards their hearts!)
