When I really want something, I'll set my max price and use an off-eBay sniper. I don't like auto-bidding, as it too often starts a bidding war and then artificially drives up the price. The fewer visible bids the better! I set a max price I'm willing to pay (don't forget shipping), and stick to it!
Some folks think using a sniper program is unfair. I think if it's available to everyone, it's just part of the stretegy. I can't be held responsible for anyone else's lack of bidding knowledge.
I will NOT bid against anyone here who makes it known they are bidding! I recognize very few of the screen names used on eBay!
