Thanks for all the encouragement! I definitely feel solid about this purchase. While it may look like I came on the scene fast and bought a plane without doing much homework, that was not the case. My first "fever" started in 2001 during flight training, when I discovered how good of an aircraft the 150 (152) really is. I talked myself out of ownership three times since then, convincing myself that it was better to rent. Well rentin' ain't cuttin' it anymore! Especially since i live 4 (yes, four) minutes from my local airport, yet have to drive 40 minutes to the rental joint! Speaking of which, today, with a bad case of "150 fever" I drove that 40 minutes (one way) to the FBO at F70 and flew an hour in their rental 152! Launched at 6:00 PM (PDT) for that sunset flight that you all know about. Had a blast, by the way.
OK, let's talk about these Lake Powell and Monument Valley pics that Hung linked me too. WOW! After I regained consciousness (after falling out of my chair) I found myself "oooing" and "ahhhing" so much I almost hyperventilated! I've never been, and always wanted to. By airplane must be the ultimate. You guys definitely have the right idea! I salute you all!
This is going to be fun!

PS The attached pic is of my home airport (L18) taken from my buddy's super trick Glastar, being flown for the first time with the doors off. BTW, Fallbrook (L18) is 2160' long and sits on top of a hill, with a steep drop on both ends. Alot of pilots don't like it. I do like it because it makes just about every other runway look long and easy.
