For just shy of $30k hull value insured, my policy without my pilot's license was in the $700 range. Closer to Hung's mentioned premium once license was obtained, and even lower once you acquire more type hours, attend WINGS programs, etc... I used AOPA Insurance Agancy who got me a policy through Global Aerospace. Tail draggers and RG light airplanes will REALLY getcha on insurance.
