I always measure my fuel in my plane with a dipstick that is calibrated specifically for my plane. I make sure that there is at least 10 gallons total before I leave the ground. If I have less than 10 then I get fuel no matter the cost! I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I NEVER, EVER take off without measuring my fuel, period!
