Thanks Catherine...it was close for a while there as the title came back from the FAA as "unclear" - a loan wasn't discharged from 1966!!

The previous owner did a lot of legwork, and got the financial institution in the States to sign a release within 2 days.

Nice plane Rob, I too set out in search of a fastback, and ended up finding mine less than ten minutes from my airport. Sounds like you've had quite an adventure getting this bird, and well worth the wait.

I forgot to mention that the 62 the Gremlin found must of been built the same day as mine... it was 1248Y, and mine is 1247Y.

Probably rolled out within a few hours of each other.

Do you have wheel pants for yours Ron? I'd like to have some...and not sure where to look other than the standard "e-bay". What should they look like?

There's a picture of mine 1247Y in the club photo collection that shows the pants. I have seen some identical to these for sale at Aircraft Spruce. They definitelly make the plane when it comes to Fastbacks... Ahh the lines!
