If you get the bird, I'll send you all 4 marker beacons! Check them all, and if you find two that work, keep one and send the rest back. If only one works, I'll sell it to you!

Just a couple o things to add. Looks to me like it's a '77 M-model by the newer style flap switch and it should have dual landing lights in the nosebowl, based on the 2 switches in the panel, a plus.

External plug for ground/battery jump starts, a plus.

Incorrect older style wheel pants from a late 60's model.

I'll swap ya a standard airspeed indicator for the TAS indicator...

New center console. (110.00)

VG's... 800.00 installed

Skybolt cowl fastener kit, 400.00 plus 10-12 hr. installation.

Rebuild gyro, about 240.00, 700.00-1200.00 new

I'll supply a superficial view...perhaps because that's all I can contribute (hey, I don't even remember how to use a darn VOR...so who cares if my plane doesn't have one)...then again, it might be valid as I do get the sense you are really, really looking to offload this thing in a couple of years.

So, here goes -- the plane doesn't look that great. Who cares? Maybe not you as you're looking for content...but if you're looking to offload this thing quickly down the road, the "resale red" one will beat the green one any day.

Its got the new style wheel pants on the mains. Looks like the NG has the older one. Just noticed that after you pointed it out. Thanks!

Really? I kind of liked the green. Oh well. We'll see what happens come re-sale time (assuming the pre-buy goes well and I even get it). The paint on this one is in much better condition than others I have looked at. Only chipping on the wheel pants, which I can sandblast and repaint myself.

It's definitely got a matching set all the way around. Attached is a pic with the proper set for that year model, with the door on the side.

Either way, panties are a good thing.

Ya might not want to sandblast them, as the tuition is a bit steep.

Thanks, what would you suggest? Is there a striper that would work on the fiberglass w/o damaging it?

Stripper will destroy the fiberglass also. Sandpaper and elbow grease are about your only options.

Oh joy. Was hoping it would be easy. lol Ahh, nothing ever is...

Now, removing the wheel pants (temporarly, w/o flying) is within the limits of owner performed maitenance, correct. Would assume it is since I would have to remove them to change a tire, right?

Update:

Good News: Turned out the marker beacon receiver is operational. The indicator bulbs were the problem. Receiver tests plus hardware for the indicator cost $120.

Bad News: The MK 12D nav/com has problems. You can't tune the standby com and the display blanks out when you try to dim the display for night ops. We're gonna have to send it to Narco for repair. Owner has agreed to fix the radio and pay for marker beacons though. So, now we go onto the airframe/engine portion of the pre-buy. More to come in a day or two. Hopefully good news.

Thanks again Carl and Tim for offering up your receivers! Really appreciate it!
