It took me a while, but you can kind of "spot" the good ones after a while on the internet. After that its just a matter of "be ready". This one had three other folks ready to go right after I looked at it according to the seller. I happened to have called first is all. It looks great but has a few little things I'll need to get after soon. Just like any airplane you own, its never quite done. But hey, thats why we do it

Very nice airplane, Jim, congratulations!

I'm always impressed by Heavy Iron drivers that own 150's. Makes me feel kinda special, being among the elite. (Of course all 150/152 owners are elite!)

Theres no "elite" William, we are all kindred spirits in this. Why is your name familiar to me???? You ever go by Bill? I was Navy at one point on the east coast. A-7 and F-18.

I thought it was a fair price at 22.5 to start with. The engine was only OH to service limits though and It had sat around for a few years mot flying much prior to 2006. When we started haggling the seller kept bringing up the fact it included a nice cover, and the Garmin 295. I basically countered with "Im not buying those" Im buying the airplane.

At one point I said listen, If you dont want to part with the Garmin or that sweet cover, than keep'em! It was a bit of a tough nut but I will always try to see where the bottom is

He ended up giving me that stuff anyway as he wasnt going to use it. He wanted the money for a new GPS for his Cherokee 180 which he had just bought (and I think he needed a paintjob too).

This was one of those ones I knew I wasnt going to get to see again If I hadnt made a decision right then and there.

I almost forgot, I also got a Cessna Maintenance manual and a 150/152 parts catalog as part of the deal. Seller said it was another few hundred bucks for that, but I have no idea how much those are. Im already using that though for my door key lock, its great!

Me like, me like.

Congratulations on the first happiest day as an aircraft owner. I hope you have many happy years with her.
