He's not asking for a deposit up front. It looks like the N# is 6514T. If it was much closer to home, I'd go check it out. | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 18,962 Likes: 3 Member/15,000 posts | Member/15,000 posts Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 18,962 Likes: 3 | Possibly a very good deal for an A&P! I'd go look! A true money pit for anyone who pays for labor! As of mid day Sat I am the high bidder. I have set a max bid on the value based on some data I have received and what I perceive as the cost to get it flyable. It looks like a fun winter project.
I was thinking of flying up but the weather looks to be crappy for the week. The cost to go commercial is $500-$900. Greyhound goes through but who wants to ride the bus, so it may end up being a road trip in the MR2.
I will keep you all posted.

I'm glad to see her go to someone who has the resources to finish the job right. I predict you will spend as much money on her total (probably more) as you would have paid for a decent flyable A model, but if what I've read and seen in the pics is correct, she will be worth it! Lots of midnight oil burning ahead, huh? | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,188 Likes: 52 Member/1000+posts | Member/1000+posts Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,188 Likes: 52 | Jim keep us posted on your progress. It looks like someone did a good job starting that project. I bet it will be nice when you get done. | | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 3,657 Member/2500+posts | Member/2500+posts Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 3,657 | Have fun with your project. Hope to see it in Clinton in 2 or 3 years.
