$100 if you're selling one, $1000 if you're buying one grin

I have one out now at Gibson for an A-65. Looks like around $1,100 +- It had to go to get chromed (?) which added a few hundred bucks.

I'm not sure of current prices but a few years ago it was only about $100 more for a new cylinder so it didn't make much sense to have the old one rebuilt.

Same for me. The delta between a rebuilt low time cylinder and a new one was about $100, so I went with new as well.

It may come down to availability more than price. If your AOG.

I would have bought new, but for the A-65 the only option is a set of Millenniums, can't buy just one.

On a side note regarding overhauling cylinders:

One might want to consider nickle plating for corrosion prevention/protection vs chrome or untreated steel cylinder walls.

I’m not sure what the availability is for the O200 and O235, but it’s not good for my O470 at the present time. I have a cylinder with a crack in the exhaust port, so I was going to replace it with a new one from Superior, but their are none to be had. I have found a couple places that think they are next to get a shipment, we will see. If all else fails, I can get a new OEM for $450 more, or after the first of the year get an overhauled NIC3 for almost the same price as the Superior.
If somebody needs O235 cylinders, I have 2 that are rebuilt and ready to go and a third cylinder that only had about 300 hours since new that needs freshened up.

I've got 3 ECI Nickel 0-200 cylinders. Recently checked any tagged.
