Maybe when I win the lottery.

OK, so I haven't won the lottery, but I've had a bit of good luck, and I am pursuing one of the ideas I've had for winning the lottery. I'll move this to a new thread, because it will take a life of its on, at least for me, but .... I'm building an RV-8.

I am partners with a couple of guys who have a shop and, between them, 60 years of airplane building/re-building experience. I bring to the partnership some money, flight instruction (now I have to go out now and learn aerobatics) and they have the shop, the tools and the experience to make this kitbuild a year-long project instead of a 5 year project.

So, I'll be a 152 owner, a Supercub owner, and a part-owner in a Van's RV-8.

I need badly to win a lottery.

Well folks, it would have to be a Pilatus Porter [pilatus-aircraft.com] for me! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

What a good choice - that thing is like a helicopter, right down to the sliding door. Great jump-ship, too - we can cram 9 jumpers plus a pilot on board.

Awesome airplanes - but built like balsa models, and no rudder for even a mild crosswind!

But they make FANTASTIC jumpships! You can put out 7 floaters done properly, one of them in front of the strut waving to the pilot inside...
