So why do some people insist on exposing their flaws on a public forum for all to see?? grin

Wow........I'd dearly LOVE to polish that spinner for her!! ( I said polish not chrome, Graeme)

Imagine the possibilities of a pure, unobstructed reflection on her nose.........that would take your eyes off that yellow in a heart beat smirk

Actually, I like yellow airplanes! smile

I am anxious to see some of Amy's videos flying her new ride. I like the way she edits them so they take less time to watch. I have never met her, but Ithink Amy is a good kid.

I'm pretty sure it's a Glastar. Should be quite the performer.

I think it is a Glastar too. Their cruise speed is in Bonanza range. Amy should be able to make the trip back east a lot quicker than in her 150.

It's a Glastar. Kit plane - so EXPERIMENTAL. Looking at the FAA registry - looks like she bought it from the original builder. First airworthiness date was in the year 2000.

Welded steel fuselage, with a fiberglass covering and aluminum wings. About 300 were built. According to Wikipedia - it can be switched back and forth between a trike and taildragger with relative ease.

Lycoming O-320
760lb usable load
50 gall capacity
Baggage area can carry 200lb.

That seems pretty capable.

That's a really neat capability. The new recently-certified version of the Carbon Cub will have that also. I bet this one was a lot less expensive though....

Indeed. I can see why she chose the upgrade. She definitely did good.
