Hi all! Just joined the club. Don't have a 150 yet but will hopefully soon! Looking to purchase one in January. Finally decided I needed my own plane. A friend of mine bought and restored a beautiful '65 C150 which convinced me I need one! It might not haul a ton, but I'll quickly get used to flying slow. Can't wait! (cutting back to 5 gal/hr of Mogas will help with the transition quickly ) Look forward to talking with all of you. Looks like I joined just a little late for Clinton. ...next year.

...and no, I'm not the guy that bought Roy's plane off eBay, though I feel pretty bad for him after reading that post!

Welcome to the Club. You'll certainly get a lot of advices when you're ready to shop for a plane. Your profile says you're an Aerospace Engineer. There's another Air-Gearhead in the group . I'm sure he'll introduce himself.

Welcome aboard, David. I, too, own a '65 E model. There's a lot to be said for simplicity and the looks of that and the '64 year models. You know, my flap motor has never gone completely out, though it does get tired after an hour of touch and goes!

This is definitely the place to be for the world of the Cessna 150/152. As for Clinton, you're early for Clinton, 2007, so hopefully we'll see you there. Plenty of time for you to find one and do what you can to make it there. Besides, you don't need a plane to go to Clinton. I think there's a few dirt roads out through a corn field that'll take you there.

Welcome,

Hi David!

I've been a member here for just over a year. I haven't done much posting, but I've done a heck of a lot of reading, and I think this knowledge base is one of the best on the net.

Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for the next guy), my wife and I are in the process of buying a 172. As soon as the Skyhawk is safely in my hangar, I'll have a pretty good 150M on the market.

However, I'll be maintaining my membership here, since 90% of the info applies to all airplanes, and there is no comparable 172 club online (Skyhawks are so generic).

Have fun! This forum is as entertaining as it is informative....

David,

I've been a member here for over 2 years, but as a rule I read/listen much more than I talk/post. You'll not find a greater talent pool, knowledge base, or just good all around people as you'll find here. I made it to Clinton this year and although I had never met anyone I was made to feel welcome. You'll enjoy this group and forum... ask anything you want and you'll get honest and direct feedback from people willing to share freely with a fellow pilot. Welcome to the club!

Welcome David, always glad to have another member as you can tell from the others. Sounds like maybe you've been an owner before?
