In the first picture, I see a fuel truck in the background and a wet spot under the left wing.......the vent tube must be working. Nicely done, Grant. Jim

Haven't flown a 150 since I sold mine in January of 2016 and as soon as I put the fuel hose away I was concerned why it was leaking and then all the memories came flooding back haha. | | | | Joined: Apr 2018 Posts: 426 Likes: 33 Member/250+posts | Member/250+posts Joined: Apr 2018 Posts: 426 Likes: 33 | CONGRATULATIONS on getting your airplane home! Some airplanes were designed to spend most of their life in flight... In order for the SR-71 to fly the worldwide missions, it has a special fleet of modified KC-135Q tankers for refueling. SR-71s run on JP-7 fuel, that fills the six large tanks in the fuselage. The component parts of the Blackbird fit very loosely together to allow for expansion at high temperatures. At rest on the ground, fuel leaks out constantly, since the tanks in the fuselage and wings only seal at operating temperatures.

Nothing like having your own plane to fly whenever you want! After many years of renting, I really enjoy the freedom to just decide go fly! Having my own hanger is the perfect man cave! If it’s open, someone will wanna come hang out!
