I think Sproty’s will let you order avarious headsets and return the ones you don’t like within 30 days or so. There really is a lot of personal fit and preference in the choice.

I slammed a cord in the door and they replaced it for free. How can you beat that.

Yeah... headsets in airplanes was a quantum step forward! Protect your hearing. I was just talking to a student about that today. ![[Linked Image from animatedimages.org]](https://www.animatedimages.org/data/media/218/animated-penguin-image-0137.gif) [ animatedimages.org] Imagine a united world. It should have gone in earlier as the boom mic was losing its flex, the head band had some wear and the ear cup seals looked worn. I mean, what would any headset look/work like after 2000+ hours in three years? But it was still working and it is my primary work headset. I just couldn’t find enough off time to send it in. All of those items were covered by the warranty, by the way. I had one speaker go dead in the first ten hours and Lightspeed customer service was 10/10. Long warranty (5 years?). The upgrade to the Zulu 3 was super easy, too. I bought a second Zulu 3 so both occupants in our 150 can wear them.
My primary Zulu headset is ridden hard and put away wet. Very durable.

I also have the Halo in-ear set, and really like it. Bose has just come out with an ANR in-ear that looks intriguing.

I changed over to the LEMO jacks and they are now plugged into ship's power too. The only way to fly....well, maybe not the only way but a dang good way. Jim

Some are in so much debt, any kind of wealth accumulation forever escapes them.
Really not trying to hijack here but there are people out there (from many different fields of endeavors) making 250K - 500K each and every year that are broke and living paycheck to paycheck. Lack of discipline is their primary problem. Listen to Dave Ramsey sometime and absorb how some people who have very good income streams live their lives, in debt up to their eyeballs, swimming in debt and no structured discipline what so ever. I find them very comfortable.
The noise reduction is the best available as far as I’ve experienced and the service is first rate from Bose.

Either one will make you look like you should be working on the deck of an aircraft carrier. But hey, how many people can see you while flying in a 150!
The 50-D is very comfortable and I have worn it in temperatures above 100F. Passive noise reduction is excellent and sometimes I forget to turn on the ANR.
I originally bought a Telex Stratus 30 for passengers but I didn’t like the type of plastic covering used on the ear cushions. I returned the headset for the Stratus 30XT which has cushions like the 50-D.
The only Bose headset I have worn was a well-used one with worn-out cushions. I always thought David Clark headsets were uncomfortable. When I have worn Lightspeeds, the seal between the cushion and my head would seem to open up whenever I turned my head slightly. Then noise would increase.
I suppose the main reason I bought the Telex was because I had a Telex headset about 40 years ago. Of course, that was before ANR headsets were invented.
The best advice is to try different ones to see which work best for you.
