Anyone know of anyone who has long range tanks for sale? Or know of anyone who can make them?
Mark

Is the auxiliary baggage compartment tank still available? It’s really hard to go some places with only 2.5 hours of fuel.

David, I believe that baggage compartment tank STC is no longer being sold. However, the Flint Aero wing tanks are still being sold and installed.

https://flintaero.com/kits/internal-tip-tanks/
I recently called the company. They are actively selling kits, but no longer doing the installations themselves. They can recommend an installer in the customer's area.

I've considered this option. Downside: add 34 lbs to your empty weight. Lets see: 200 lbs (me) + (23.5+23 gal x 6.0 lbs/gal) and a bit of luggage = about 500 lbs. Sounds good, except my useful load would then be only 465 lbs. This is the main reason I haven't gone down this road. Of course, you don't have to run full tanks, but then why get them if you can't fill them?

Tanks inside the cabin has special requirements to get a 337 approved for installation on the FAA337 form, besides the STC..

I didn't know flints bring the total to 46.5 Gal??

Stock Cessna long range tanks bring total to 39 Gal with 36 usable.. Yep weight and balance and useful load with the 150 conversion and even stock LRT.. is tight.
Passenger has to be very light.. for 1600 max gw.

Gross weight increase will be welcome but Shawn is going for a Gross of 1690 for some reason.. not the 1740 of others but any increase is welcome..

That 1740 number just might be 1760......at least from one of the conversions?

Yes I think you are correct.
Most are 1760.
I still have not seen any documentation on how they got the gross weight increase on any conversion.
