Good luck! I find the process of getting a new plane as exciting as getting the plane. I got a new one in October and I still can’t wipe the grin off my face every time I fly it.

That's really cool, Henry. I'm crossing fingers that it'll all go well. I have some upgrades in mind but they'll have to wait for me to recover from the purchase.

I know if I were in your shoes, it would be hard to part with such an "old friend." But, I know you are looking for something that will haul a little more, so good luck on the sale! I hope Sally goes to someone who will appreciate her.

Well, I have had multiple offers on Sally. Two stand out. One says (presently the higher offer) will be used for the wife of a pilot to learn to fly and intends to sell it in a year or so. The other (slightly lower offer) intends to own it personally as he is a private pilot. I also understand there are no guarantees.

Gosh, I'm pretty sentimental about her. How many here would take a lower offer if you think your plane would go to a better home?

I agree with Robert. Also keep in mind that Sally will fulfill the excellent mission of making a new private pilot.

What everyone else said. Once money changes hands, all bets are off. Minds and plans change.

I understand the sentimentality of it. But, unless you know the buyer personally, there are no guarantees behind their plans. You'd hate to wake up the day after the sale, only to find Sally has been renamed CP-1234 and shipped off to Bolivia.

Personally, I would accept a lower offer only if it was a good friend or Club member. That way I can keep tabs on the plane... and hunt them down if they do wrong by her. smile
