Yeah, thanks All. No one has given me advice otherwise. And, no, not a club member or anyone I know. I'll be sad to see her go but I'll try to look forward to some new adventures.

I will jump on the wagon that says take the higher offer. Not with airplanes, but I have been down a similar road with cars, and I still regret selling my "college car" to one of my cousins.

It just may be that the wife falls in love with Sally over time and decides she (Sally) is not going anywhere.......you never know.

I'd go this route and throw the extra money at the Bonanza.

I know the turmoil that you're going through, though. Several times a year I look up my previous planes just to see how they're doing........I'm cursed that way and in some ways even twisted.

Go for the gold......Sally would want you to grab all the gusto you can. smirk

Thanks, All. The guy with the lower offer matched the price and is bringing his mechanic in the am. The other guy agreed to wait for my decision til the weekend.

Wow, I thought I’d be waiting for weeks/months for her to sell. This kinda caught me off guard.

In that case, sell it to the eager buyer.

I don't know...the only plane I've ever sold was sold to the insurance company as a twisted heap of metal. On that one, I got top dollar with no haggling. Read "Agreed Value."

I still exhausted much emotional energy over that sale, however.

All I can say is to trust your gut. Then smile, be kind and considerate with the underlying suspicious eye of a high-risk banker.

This is a cool thread. Thanks for sharing the selling journey.

I had some remorse watching 22595 fly away. He gave me a nice wing wave, a nice touch. I agree with the others, and wish you a swift and easy sale. Anyone who complains about your airplane hasn't looked at very many. I think it will be smooth and quick.

It's surprising how active the under $50,000 market is. While I was looking I found some good values that were sold within hours by sight unseen buyers. This happened at least three times. I think two factors are affecting this.

1 The change in the medical requirements are limiting the available sales volume by many of us who want to keep flying.

2 The genuine upcoming airline pilot shortage has more people buying time builders.

It will be a sad day parting with your first airplane, Catherine. But what an adventure you will have with the new Bonanza. Fun times to be sure!

Well, it looks as if Sally is sold. I'm grateful for the wealth of interest in her. It's bittersweet but she's going to some very nice people. smile

I'm not sure if you have sold a plane before, but make sure to send in the half of the Registration Card to report the change of ownership. Don't rely on the new owner to do that.
