Seems previous owner opened this little valve with a pair of pliers. So does anyone know the part that I should purchase for my M model 150 76? Any help would be appreciated.

BY THE WAY, I think the easiest way to add fluid to these Cessnas is through the bleeder valve. Use an oil can and put break fluid in it, a plastic tube and squirt the break fluid from the wheel while someone unpress the break peddle inside the plane at the same time.

I landed in the middle of nowhere (Terlingua, TX) 3 hours from home full of people and baggage. While turning to park pedal went the floor. Someone had assembled my piston upside down and the o-ring squeezed out and dripped fluid everywhere. Fortunately I'd just done my annual and was 'full' of fluid.
I flew back home and found a chewed up bleeder valve. Bought what I sent you above, pulled the old and quickly swapped the new, topped up my fluid and bled from the pedal a couple of presses and haven't had any issues since.

To pedal is to use such a lever to control something. It descends from the Late Latin pedale, for a thing of the foot, which descends ultimately from the Latin pēs, for foot. To peddle can mean to travel around selling items (think door-to-door salesmen). It can also mean to sell illicit drugs or, informally, to give out or spread, as with information or lies. | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 14,783 Likes: 544 Member/10,000+ posts! | Member/10,000+ posts! I did order the bleeder valve kit and hope to install on c 150 soon. Should never use pliers on this small valve nut.
