The new plastic is an overlay, and it only comes in the beige color. You would have to paint it if you wanted a color to match old panel.
Everything has to come off to change it, so you might as well do the metal panel because it is a gawd awful job to change out. The metal will outlast the plastic.

Not really. I got really busy with parental medical issues and haven't had time for internet. I've barely had time to keep an airplane running. It got to the point where I turned off the internet at home, since I never used it anyway. Saved me $1000 a year. Anyway, was going through bookmarks, logged in for the first time this year, and saw an easy question to answer.

Has anyone heard from Bill? I PM'ed him 11/06/17 and it is still unread. I also sent an email and no response. I am also looking for a lower instrument panel for my 76 150m . Any help or suggestions welcomed.

As I said earlier in this thread, it’s not in their web catalog as a PMA’ed part but you can order it from Plane Plastics. You have to call them.
