Do you know how much it was sold for?

Not for sure. Discussion leads me to think it was somewhere around $24k to $25k. Motor mount cracked in two locations, and one cylinder replacement as a minimum.

Paid too much..I bet there is a slew of other stuff wrong with it.

I spoke with the agent that was helping the widow sell the aircraft on several occasions because I was interested in this aircraft as a possible upgrade. The one thing that was unique was it is original, all of the original avionics were still installed no upgrades but with that comes the fact that they are all obsolete in today's ATC environment (360 channels) . It also had the original Continental IO- 360 K engine which from my research Continental no longer supports it's considered a light case and was prone to cracking and with the original crank if the case was ever split you would have to upgrade(AD) with a new crankshaft and different connecting rods which would drive the price up for an overhaul,Since Continental no longer supports the engine if you are going to exchange it as a core you have to pay an up charge for a factory remanufactured engine. Most owners have upgraded to the KB heavy case engine which is supported by Continental. I believe it sold for something north of $25,000 I do wish the new owner the best of luck in restoring the aircraft to an airworthy condition so that it might fly another day.
