Kendel must be temporarily off the grid or something......I'd send him a PM and nudge him.

Yeah, I've been commuting between KRYN and KGOK lately. Mom has been going through chemo. I tried taking the Varieze this last time, as the 310 is too thirsty. Ended up sleeping on a dirty couch in Santa Rosa last night due to weather. Stopped for fuel and oil at Double Eagle. Had to use every last inch of the 7900 foot runway for my takeoff; even after I cranked up the nosewheel to reduce drag while the mains were still rolling on the pavement. I'm going to up the compression with C-85 pistons before I fly it to high altitude density environments again. Finally got back to Tucson this morning.

I drilled a rudder horn off of a serviceable rudder for DJ. You're welcome to the rest of it for cheap, but I really want to see a picture of your crunched rudder first.

Hate to hear this, Kendel......I hope she's doing well through this and the prognosis is good.

Best of luck to you and your family.

Hi Kendel.

One of the guys I work with's Mom is going through the same thing. Not a pleasant experience. David Rowland's Mom is also having similar issues. A lot of that going around! Back when I was a kid, a cure for cancer was often talked about. It hasn't come yet, but the treatment is a lot better than it was back then. An awful lot of people recover and live long and happy lives. Here is to your Mom that her treatment will go well. I will add her and you to my prayer list.

I dunno, I thought you wuz a rich guy?? laugh Don't you have a jet or something ?? LOL I guess having a lot of planes doesn't make one rich necessarily, just the opposite may be the case. LOL

I looked at the 310 when I was buying my first airplane... I love the look of the 310 they are hella cool. However, being practical.... Delmar the Aerobat is now in the hangar. I do chuckle when I fill the tanks after a 2 hour flight. I could not have made a better decision at the time.

Prayers for your Mom.... and for all of us. We need em !!

Did I mention buying another 310? Thought I would buy a second one on the cheap for parts (mostly the props). It has a spar problem that I thought would condemn it, but turns out to be repairable in a month's worth of weekends. Naturally, I will slave away on it because I can't stand the guilt I would have over letting an otherwise nice aircraft go to the scrapper. *sigh*

Ha Kendel, you remind of a a good friend of mine. He has a Ford 9N tractor so... he buys one for parts for $200 and ends up fixing that one. Then he recently bought another 9N for parts and low and behold... he is fixing that one too. LOL James now has 3 operational Ford 9N tractors and a grand total of 3 acres of land. Ha ha.
