After selling my Bonanza, I finally brought home a 1965 Cessna 150. Square tail, manual flaps, Horizontal DG, krappy radios, no wheel pants, it tends to turn left on it's own and I absolutely love it. I haven't flow a 150 in almost 40 years. I ferried the airplane home in 1hr 30 min. I'm not sure what my power setting was 'cause the tach. bounces back and forth 300rpm's or so. I was at WOT most of the time anyway. I came home at 7500 ft., 85kts. indicated, 95 true. I'll post a pic or two as soon as I figure out how to do it.
With a mile of highway, you can go one mile. With a mile of runway, you can go just about anywhere.
Gosh I can't say how happy and excited I am for you!!!
She does look like a beauty! And with the same owner the last 37 years, you can tell the guy loved her as much as you do! I absolutely love the square tail look! I like the manual flaps as well...instant on/off if you like. Also with the way I land, that heavy duty nose gear is great too!
Hey Kendel in Tucson found me a square tail 64D which looks like a beauty as well. Hey we can form up a square tail sub group of the 150/152 club! Ha!
Again she's a beauty and best of luck to you!!
