Kit is complete with doublers and rivets, fits the following ( per cessna ) :

15071129- all

I was going to install these on my 66F, but decided against it. I don't know why earlier 150's aren't included, my mechanic said it would fit my 66.

New in a cessna box. $420.00

Ill stick them on e-bay if no one in here is interested.

Hmmm. I don't remember ever seeing steps on an angle-door 150, and this "and up" number looks like maybe it starts with the square door series. Maybe it has something to do with the strengthening of the fuselage structure to accommodate the larger doors.

Interesting. My "1967" 150G (S/N 15066xxx) has steps and handles. Is it unusual for for that year?

A complete kit is a rare find! 150's with factory installed steps have doublers. 150's sold without the step option do not. Installation of steps without doublers is an incomplete mod not approved by Cessna, as it bends the sheet metal when weight is applied.

I'm contemplating removing mine... for drag reduction. I use a little ladder for fueling anyway.

Roy and Wally should swap photos and compare any differences. Roy's may have been put on by someone who didn't care about paperwork, or (even better) with an STC that would cover what Wally has.

I'm ambivalent about the steps. I would put them on, but only use them if a ladder were not available. I wouldn't take them OFF ("drag reduction"? REALLY? wink ).

For that matter, I bought a wheelchair at a thrift shop, put a piece of 3/4" plywood where the seat went and bungeed a gas jug on the back. This is my service stand, and when I do my gas checks I pour the waste into the can rather than throwing it on the ground.

I'm sure that any improvement caused by removing them will be due entirely to placebo effect. That is, of course, nothing to be sneered at -- it's a well established performance enhancement mechanism as verified by many testimonials.
