I had wheel-pants on my '64 150. I liked the looks.

Servicing the tires wasn't too difficult. I just did what Hung did - I put a stripe of paint on the tire pointing to the tire valve. Just roll the plane until you see a stripe, then check and add air if necessary.

I didn't bother removing them when I went to grass strips or ice runways, and it never seemed to cause a problem.

That's my random sample of one; your mileage may vary.

Remember, it's always 5 O'clock somewhere. Nobody said if that's AM or PM.

If you like the looks, anyhow. wink

I'm trying to decide whether I like the looks of NO spinner or a skullcap spinner. I like the utilitarian look.

What it comes down to is that there's no wrong way. Decide what is more important to you for your plane, and anyone who has a problem with your choice doesn't have to fly in your plane, right?

I am with Kirk. I just like the way they look. About 30% flying in and out of turf strips. So far no problem. Don't worry to much about ice. I stay home if it's that cold (like today).

Good wife, good friends & a Cessna 150. Life is good.
