The 4th grandkid is on the way so a bigger plane will be necessary soon. Alan | | | | Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 948 Member/750+posts | Member/750+posts Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 948 | Alan,
Very nice 150, and at a very nice price, you should have no issue selling it.
I sold my 150 in October and moved to a 1967 172, love it with the extra room and performance. Doesn't burn much more per hour than the 150 if you cut a bit back on the throttle.
Good luck with the sale.

I know a guy in Anchorage who is looking for a plane just like yours ... I wonder if he'd be interested in either ferrying it here or paying someone to do it for him ... I'll talk with him soon to find out.

Have Jim and Cindy fly it up there for him. They'll be veterans of the mainland-Alaska route by the time they return with Mighty Mouse. | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 21,705 Likes: 2245 Member/20,000 posts | Member/20,000 posts Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 21,705 Likes: 2245 | Have Jim and Cindy fly it up there for him. Deliver to Alaska..........mmmmm. I would be a little nervous . A stock 150 is a fine aircraft for flying around Alaska ... you won't be operating at high altitude airstrips, but there are lots of airports at or near sea level and a few off-airfield opportunities that are perfectly safe (beaches, gravel bars, river beds).
