Last year I purchased the Flight Com even though I have a panel mount The reason was to enable my wife to listen to her MP3 player on the new Bose ANR headsets I purchased for our trip to Sun N Fun.

It turned out that the Flight Com was not compatible with the Bose. It took everyone by surprise. Even the avionics shop where I had purchased the 2 headsets and the intercom. Calls to Flight Com confirmed that they knew of the incompatibility and there was NO work around.

To the avionics shops? credit they checked with PS Engineering and their unit was compatible but was on back order.

To make a long story short the intercom arrived in the nick of time for my trip and ?mama? was happy and when ?mama? is happy ?daddy? gets to fly more.

Moral of the story:. Double check the equipment combination you will be using with the intercom. The Flight Com worked with my DC and AvCom headsets.
