Hi Bryan. You'd better jump on this one if you are serious. Sandy went through the airframe and took care of any corrosion. She is selling for a good reason, not because there is anything wrong with her airplane. Check the threads here.

Awesome day. Took care of the left wing heavy condition. She did well in test flights. We learned a lot about wing adjustments and rudder rigging. Took all day though...adjust, fly, adjust, fly, adjust, fly, etc.

Put the left panel plastic overlay back on so she isn't quite so "frankenpanel".

The automotive writer Peter Egan has written many times about restoring cars to perfection, and the frustration of buying "restored" cars only to find many hidden problems. As he wrote, "just once, I'd like to buy a car from me."

"Lulubelle" is just such a plane. It's one of few planes that could be bought sight unseen, tanks topped, then flown home.

(Oh, there is another in Arkansas, but it ain't for sale.... smile )

High praise there, thanks Kirk! I hope it doesn't set overly high expectations, but I would like to think there would be more pleasant surprises than unpleasant distractions. I do know that every time I switched to a different A&P, new stuff was found, so I have no doubt that fresh eyes could find some squawk I've missed. I'd be thrilled if the news owner finished her up with a pretty Bill Rourke panel makeover. Then I'd really consider her fly-away perfect!

Do appreciate the kind words!
